Demonstrate the commercial viability of the connected machine programme and make Dyson Link app as innovative as its technology.
What I did
Made Connectivity cost-effective by setting up an in-house creative & delivery team from scratch and overseeing the creative migration of the programme from an external contractor. Ground up redesign of Dyson Link, taking it from a restrictive two-machine application, to a multiple-connected machine platform.
Commercial outcome
Dyson Link app went from a 2.4 star to 4.5 star App Store rating. Proved connectivity simultaneously enhanced both the machine’s commercial value, and the owners experience of their machines. Turned Dyson Link from a commercially damaging product into a critically acclaimed product. Connected machine owners rose from 190,000 to over 1 million within a year of launch.
